I thought I’d revisit some old projects and see if something new could come out of them or at least be inspired to create something new. I stumbled on this project which I tried to remix a couple of years back but fell short of completing it. It was initially an acoustic piece I wrote for a recording assignment back in college and I thought a remix would be cool.
The remix is mainly done with manipulating the sound recordings I already had and adding samples to spice it up. Stutter Edit from Izotope was my weapon of choice and its effects can be heard throughout the track, and samples were added and manipulated as well to contrast the vocals.
The whole track is programmed, mixed, and mastered in Pro Tools but I think Ableton would have made my workflow easier in the programming stage, but oh well.
Credits to Michelle Chew for the vocal contribution
